A low pressure system moved across southwest Nebraska, making its' way into central 
Nebraska this afternoon, bringing chances of showers and storms 
across eastern Kansas. Afternoon temperatures ranged from the lower 
60s across northwest Kansas, to the upper 80s across eastern Kansas. 
Winds were generally out of the south to southwest at 10 to 20 mph, 
with gusts 25 to 30 mph.

Tonight the low pressure system will continue to move east across 
south central and eastern Nebraska, bringing continuous chances for 
showers and storms across central and eastern Nebraska, eastern 
Kansas, and eastern Oklahoma. Some of these storms may be on the 
strong to severe side. Overnight temperatures are forecast to drop 
down to the upper 40s across western Nebraska, to the upper 60s 
across eastern Oklahoma. Winds will be out of the west to southwest 
at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts 25 to 35 mph.

On Saturday, the Central Plains looks to be mainly dry, with chances 
of showers and storms across northern Nebraska and southern 
Oklahoma. High temperatures look to range from the lower 60s across 
western Nebraska, to the middle 80s across eastern Oklahoma. Winds 
should be out of the northwest at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts 20 to 25 
mph.
